May at Oakland Court was a month filled with music, creativity, and community spirit, providing our beloved residents with many memorable moments.
We began the month on a spiritual note with a beautiful Church Service led by the wonderful Father John. The service brought joy, peace, and a deep sense of community to everyone present.

The month continued with the incredibly talented Geoff Valentino. His delightful mix of jolly tunes and timeless classics had everyone tapping their toes and singing along. On Nurse’s Day, our residents came together for a special flower arranging activity, celebrating the dedicated nurses who provide such wonderful care. Everyone’s creativity shone as they arranged vibrant blooms into stunning bouquets.
We were also treated to an incredible performance by our musical guest, Suzanne. She had residents and staff singing and dancing together, turning the day into a real celebration of music and movement. Janette, another talented musical guest, captivated everyone with her beautiful piano melodies.
Our arts and crafts activities included a fun session of rock painting, where residents brought vibrant designs to life. This creative outlet was a hit, with everyone enjoying the chance to express their artistic side. We also enjoyed a performance by Victor Monroe, whose singing filled our hearts with warmth and joy.
The musical treats continued with a special performance from Mitchell Armstrong, whose talent brought smiles to all. Joan Bull hosted another heartfelt Church Service that uplifted everyone. Our lovely hairdresser, Becky, paid us a visit to give our residents beautiful hairdos, adding a touch of glamour to their day.
A new game called “Shut The Box” was brought a mix of nostalgia and new experiences, with friendly competition and. We also had a delightful performance from Nathan Smithers, whose voice, songs, and charm filled the room and was enjoyed by all.
