December has been a month filled with festive fun, memories, and plenty of creativity.
Our residents kicked off the season by embracing the Christmas spirit with a creative robin decoration activity, showcasing their artistic talents, followed by crafting stunning Christmas lights, each one reflecting their unique personality and style.
We had the pleasure of meeting some new furry friends this month, as the Hedgehog Rescue team visited us with adorable hedgehogs, sharing fascinating insights about these spiky little creatures. The festive season truly took hold as our residents joined together for cheerful carol singing, filling the halls with the warmth and joy of Christmas classics. The Christmas spirit was further enhanced by a wonderful range of performances, from Shaye’s beautiful renditions of everyone’s favourite songs to the joyful carols from the Littlehampton Musical Society.
The highlight of the month was our Christmas Party Celebration, a magical event where residents and their loved ones gathered to create lasting memories. We were entertained by musical performances from the incredible Ryan (known as Mr. Shiny Shoes by the residents), Geoff with his accordion and trumpet, and the lovely Jeanette. The festive cheer continued with a visit from the carol singers from the Baptist Church, and we had a delightful session with Penny from Creative Talks, who sparked fond conversations about Christmas traditions and memories.
As we moved closer to the end of the year, our residents enjoyed a range of activities, from manicures and poetry sessions to a magical performance by Maddi, whose voice brought the Christmas spirit to life. We also came together for a lively singalong, where everyone joined in to celebrate the season through song.
Looking back on the month, we’re filled with gratitude for all the wonderful moments shared, and we’re excited for what’s to come in the New Year. Here’s to 2025!
