At Oakland Care Group, we are committed to making a positive difference, not only in the lives of our residents but also for the environment. Building on our recent solar power and eco-friendly sharps disposal initiatives, we are excited to announce our new partnership with JUST ONE Tree – a global reforestation organisation dedicated to restoring the planet’s ecosystems.
As part of this initiative, we will plant one tree for every month a resident stays with us. At full capacity, this will result in 74 trees planted each month – an incredible 888 trees every year! This effort will not only help in combating climate change but also in enhancing biodiversity, improving air and water quality, and providing sustainable incomes for local communities.
JUST ONE Tree reminds us: “We have just one planet. Together let’s restore it.” Through this partnership, we’re taking meaningful steps to create a greener, healthier future for generations to come.
