February has been a wonderful month at Oakland Court, filled with creativity, music, and heartfelt celebrations.
We kicked things off with an incredible musical performance from the talented Mitchel Armstrong, setting the tone for a month of entertainment and joy. Residents then enjoyed a lively game of Snap to work out their brain muscles, followed by a fantastic Music & Quiz session with Janette, always a favourite!
We had a beautiful Flower-Arranging session, during which our residents crafted stunning floral displays. It’s always a pleasure to see our residents embrace creativity and brighten up their homes with their own handcrafted arrangements.
Music and entertainment continued to be highlights of the month, with incredible performances from Zoe Jackson, who brought an energetic and interactive show, Ryan Mac, Maddi Cryer, and the wonderful Geoff Valentino. Their performances created a lively and heartwarming atmosphere, reminding us all just how powerful music can be in bringing people together.
Valentine’s Day was a truly special occasion. Our residents enjoyed a creative Flower Arranging session, sipped on delicious Valentine’s cocktails, and joined in a sing-along of classic love songs. It was a day of laughter, warmth, and togetherness, celebrating the bonds we share within the home.
A particularly proud moment this month was celebrating 15 years of culinary excellence with our brilliant chef, Zak Prior. His dedication, creativity, and passion for providing delicious, home-cooked meals have brought so much joy to our residents. We are incredibly grateful for everything he does, and this milestone is a true testament to his hard work and commitment.
