December at Oakland Court was nothing short of magical as we embraced the Christmas period with a flurry of activities, festive events, and cherished moments.
The highlight of the month was undoubtedly our Christmas celebration, where residents and their loved ones gathered for an unforgettable afternoon filled with festive cheer. Our talented entertainers delighted everyone with renditions of Christmas classics, while our chefs prepared a spectacular spread of holiday treats, including a show-stopping dessert selection.
The residents explored dazzling Christmas displays on a visit to Haskins Garden Centre where they enjoyed treats in the café. We welcomed the adorable Tina the Pony, who spread smiles in her festive attire, and the Bognor Regis Handbell Ringers filled our home with Christmas melodies. Residents participated in arts and crafts with Felpham Community College students, creating festive Santas. The Downview Primary School Choir and St. Mary’s Church Choir sang heartwarming carols, while visits from Em’s Friendly Farm goats brought unexpected delight.
The talented Zoe brought beloved holiday classics to life Jackson, who, and a beautiful church service led by Father John that embodied the spirit of the season. Creative moments filled the month as residents crafted stunning Christmas cards, decorations, and gifts, showcasing their talents and adding a personal touch to the festive celebrations.
Christmas Day was a highlight, with Santa delivering presents to every resident, sparking laughter and joy throughout the home. As the year came to a close, we rang in 2025 with creative arts and crafts, festive celebrations, and authentic connections.
