Reflections of November at Oakland Court

November has been a month of progress and celebration at Oakland Court! We’re excited to announce the conclusion of our first phase of new en-suite bathrooms for 8 of our rooms, a project designed to enhance privacy and comfort for our residents. Improving our facilities is part of our unwavering commitment to providing the very best care and living experience for everyone here.

To wrap up last month, the Halloween festivities were a big hit, with residents coming together for a creative pumpkin carving session. The room buzzed with excitement as spooky and cheerful designs came to life. It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm and artistic flair in every carving! Residents also gathered for a moving movie screening, enjoying an afternoon of smiles, laughter, and the joy of shared company, a beautiful reminder of the happiness found in simple moments.

Our month was brimming with vibrant activities, starting with a delightful trip to Haskins Garden Centre. Exercise sessions with Debbie kept everyone active and energised, while the incredible performances by Kerry & Sue and Zoe Jackson filled our home with music and dancing.

Book Club offered a cosy morning of storytelling, followed by Janette’s engaging music and quiz activity. A highlight of the month was Dave’s unforgettable Elvis Presley tribute, where residents sang along to classics, and Nick’s lively horse racing session brought out everyone’s playful competitive spirit. To close the month on a high note, Regis Rhythms treated us to a fabulous Friday afternoon of music.

As November comes to a close, we reflect on the wonderful memories made and look forward to another month of joy, creativity, and connection at Oakland Court. Thank you to all our residents, team members, and performers for making every moment special!
