April at Oakland Court was a month filled with joy, creativity, and heart-warming moments that brought smiles to the faces of our residents.
We kicked off the month with a magical performance from The Regis Rhythms, whose music filled our home with warmth and positivity. Their repertoire of classic favourites and wholesome sing-alongs created an uplifting atmosphere that everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
Geoff Valentino, another talented musician, graced us with a special performance of vibrant and catchy tunes to which residents sang along and tapped their feet to the beat. Additionally, our fabulous hairdresser, Becky, treated our residents to pampering sessions, leaving them feeling confident and radiant with their stylish hairdos.

Unicorn Day was a highlight of the month, as residents indulged their creative side during our arts and crafts activity. From vibrant rainbows to sparkling unicorns, everyone poured their hearts into their colourful masterpieces. This celebration of creativity brought a sense of fancy and joy to our home.
As we celebrated Chris’s remarkable 5 years of service as our registered manager, we reflected on her dedication and leadership, which have been instrumental in making Oakland Court a vibrant and caring home. The month also featured special musical performances by Mitchell Armstrong and Janette, whose infectious energy and engaging performances brought smiles to everyone’s faces.
In addition to musical entertainment, our residents enjoyed a variety of activities, including Scratch Arts and an epic game of Jenga. These engaging activities brought friendship and laughter among residents and staff alike, creating cherished memories that will be treasured for years to come.
April was a month of laughter, music, creativity, and community at Oakland Court. We look forward to continuing to provide meaningful experiences and moments of joy for our residents in the months ahead.
