This month has been filled with sunshine, celebrations and wonderful moments shared together at Oakland Court.
The highlight of the month was undoubtedly our Summer Party, bringing residents, families and friends together for a fantastic day of fun, laughter and celebration. Our chefs, Scott and Mark, created an amazing spread, and Maddi had everyone singing and dancing to finish the celebrations in style. A huge thank you to all our staff for their incredible hard work and dedication, and to the Bognor Regis Deputy Mayor for joining us.
There was plenty of summer fun beyond the party too. Residents enjoyed several trips to the seafront, including a lovely beach outing made extra special thanks to Corrine lending us her beach hut. Betty and Nancy also enjoyed tea by the beach, while another sunny Sunday was spent enjoying the sea, sunshine and ice creams. Residents also enjoyed a visit to the Fox pub.
Music and entertainment continued throughout the month, with wonderful visits from Jannette and Zoe, alongside a fun musical listening session featuring some of the residents’ favourite artists. David the Magician also entertained everyone with his tricks, while bingo, word games and retro games such as cup and ball, marbles and spinning tops brought back happy memories.
Creativity was also in full swing, with residents creating beautiful flower arrangements and delicious homemade biscuits. Gardening sessions with Tony provided another opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy time together, while sunny days offered plenty of chances to relax and make the most of the fresh air.
We were delighted to celebrate the birthdays of Eileen and Doreen, making their special days extra memorable with friends and fellow residents.
It has been a wonderful month of friendship, laughter, music and summer memories at Oakland Court, and we look forward to another month of making special moments together.
