This month has been filled with sunshine, creativity and wonderful moments shared together at Oakland Grange.
Residents enjoyed welcoming new faces as Jayden and Sophie joined us for their work experience placement, quickly becoming part of the Oakland Grange family. Throughout the month, everyone stayed active with friendly games of tennis, Higher or Lower, Pilates sessions and plenty of laughter during our fun sponge challenge.
The warmer weather gave residents lots of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, from peaceful walks to the local orchard and relaxing by the Oakland pond to enjoying refreshing ice lollies and surprise visits from Tara’s ice cream trolley. Pimms afternoons and time spent soaking up the sunshine made the most of the summer days.
Creativity flourished with flower arranging, portrait painting, hat decorating for our Summer Party and the exciting launch of our very own resident choir. A visit to Arundel Museum gave residents the chance to explore the Women’s Land Army Exhibition and enjoy the beautiful riverside surroundings.
Music and entertainment continued to be a highlight, with fantastic performances from Ryan and the return of ballroom dancers Emma and Rares. Residents also loved another visit from the Jiggle Wrigglers, while Doug the Shetland pony brought smiles to everyone he met.
Quieter moments were equally cherished, with relaxing hand massages, Tea and a Chat sessions, reading in the sunshine and time spent sharing stories and making memories together.
It has been another wonderful month of friendship, laughter and togetherness at Oakland Grange, and we look forward to creating many more special moments in the weeks ahead.
