Reflections of March at Oakland Grange

March has been a lovely month at Oakland Grange, filled with music, creativity and meaningful moments shared together.

We enjoyed fantastic musical visits from Ryan and Maddi, as well as lively entertainment from Shay, all bringing joy, laughter and plenty of sing-alongs to the home. Nick’s return with skittles sparked friendly competition once again, while activities like indoor tennis and keep-fit sessions kept everyone active and engaged.

Creativity flourished throughout the month, with residents taking part in flower pressing, arts and crafts, and seasonal activities including making Welsh dragons, shamrocks and colourful bookmarks for World Book Day.

Special celebrations such as St David’s Day, St Patrick’s Day and Mother’s Day brought everyone together, with a beautiful afternoon tea marking a particular highlight.

There were also many relaxing and reflective moments, from peaceful garden strolls spotting signs of spring to calming hand massages and one-to-one time that made residents feel truly valued. Visits from entertainers, as well as a heartwarming visit from baby Rudy, brought extra smiles to everyone.

We were delighted to celebrate special birthdays, including Maureen’s 90th and Patricia’s, alongside many other meaningful milestones. The month was rounded off with joyful activities, including a relaxed “pub-style” Sunday afternoon and time spent enjoying each other’s company.

March has been full of warmth and celebration at Oakland Grange, and we look forward to creating many more special memories in the months ahead.
