Oakland Care Group ensures it is up to date with the latest public health and national Government information about the risk of coronavirus in the UK. The infection control lead for each home maintains close links with local health protection teams and will be responsible for circulating essential information to staff and, where necessary, to residents and their families. They will also update the organisation’s management team.
Oakland Care Group will comply with official advice, including the government’s Living with COVID-19 plan, to ensure the safety of residents, staff and visitors.
Welcoming New Residents
Oakland Court and Oakland Grange Care Homes are in a position to welcome new residents, whilst making sure our existing residents and staff remain safe.
We have put in place:
- A clear admission policy
- Excellent supplies of PPE for all staff and visitors
- Effective infection control measures and deep cleaning routines
- Testing for all staff and residents when there are suspected cases, to help ensure we keep the home free of infection
- Routine communication and advice from GP surgeries, healthcare professionals and the UK Health Security Agency
We would like to thank the community, our residents, and their families for their support through some very difficult times. In addition, our very grateful thanks and appreciation goes to dedicated our staff who have been committed at all times to the care of the residents and each other.
